The joke is getting old, Froome is better in doing something weird, prior to almost crashing followed by staying on the bike. He did crash heavily whilst uphill in the Vuelta however.

That cyclinghub guy already earning his marks to become topEurosport commentator in the future...

Just watched the replay. My biggest problem with him is he never stops talking. It's like an avalanche of words from that guy and it causes him to say silly/stupid stuff sometimes. The more experienced guys realize you don't have to talk all the time and that silence is ok.

Anyway, I actually did laugh out loud at that finish. I feel a little bad for Poels but it's his own fault as he took too much speed into that corner. A shame as it would have been nice to see them sprint it out. Chaves was terrific. He's proving this year that he's going to be a top flight rider. I'd like to see him have a go at FW and Liège in the next year or two.

I totally hated his way of commentating. Awful. He simply doesn't fit and sounds awkward. It looks like he was put there knowing nothing about cycling. Obviously not true, but that's the feeling he gave me.

Poels, what a shame!
But it's entirely his fault. He took that corner way too fast. As he admitted during his post race interview.

Who else is he going to try and blame? The roadside fans? :D

Give him a break, he's just a fan. Glad he streams stuff over at his site and channel. Don't expect him to voice-over the big races. :)

Poels might even be better in terms of helping Froome than Thomas.

Same way of riding and both look like humanoid crane flies. I bet they will share the same progam next year.

Poels is a very good climber but he does not have consistency in a GT tour. For every 2 days he is up there climbing he will be missing another day .Thomas is more consistent. However Froome will ahve othere climbers ot help including (or especially) Landa

You think Landa signed for Sky to domestqiue Froome? Giro-Vuelta will most certainly be his two main peaks, Brailsford wants to attempt 3 GTs in one season.

Sky has more than enough helpers for Froome not need Landa at Tour.

Except that Landa wants to learn the Tour under a great leader like Froome. Be afraid, very afraid
So he wants to learn how to steer badly, waste a lot of energy in the first week and ride in a weird crickety style? :D

The Cricket had 800x more style on the bike than Froome or Landa put together.

About my comments about Boonen. Maybe I don't follow him as much. But I thought he was invisible this year. Maybe because of injuries, but he has been on a good decline redardless. I still think that we want to give a pass to our heroes no matter what. I feel like he costs too much for what he is performing right now.

The suggestion that Boonen doesn't deserve his place is the most bizarre thing I've heard all week.
In Etixx?

Yeah. Or elsewhere for that matter.

Because he used to be good or because he is Belgian?

Because he's always an asset, because he's Tom Boonen and because half the team would have to be ditched before him. ;)
I am talking about performance. But you are right. ;)

Its a shame that Boonen just said in an interview that he was mentally and physically as good as 2012, and then he crashed hard a few hours later. I would like to see him have one more strong season.
Must be a hero in Belgium. I don't understand why he still has a contract.

Well, I hope he recovers from the crash.
He has god like status that sponsors love.
I agree with you on that.

It looks like he is Ok from his crash. Happy for him and his family.

This is really bad. I'm all for new races but at least in interesting places: Colombia for instance, it's just stupid they don't have a decent level race.

Also, guys like Valverde, Nibali, Aru and Ulissi should have been at each other throats yesterday in Emillia and instead they are riding around in a F1 circuit WTF?

It's sad to see new cycling killing the old one and not even bringing more fans in the process.

Appropos of nothing, if I were Viviani I might feel a bit miffed that the race headline was not "Viviani First" but "Sagan Second". Ouch. Maybe Elia needs to get some white bike shorts.

Yes it's a *** race, but it's not killing anything. Guys like Valverde, Nibali and Aru would have ended their season after Lombardia if Abu Dhabi didn't exist. If these kind of races started to actually interfere with big races, then yes, it's dramatic. Now I don't see the problem.

It's rather funny you say he costs too much while we have no clue how much money he still makes these days
