The Canadians are credited with inventing the Beer Mile
as well as writing the universally accepted Rules and they
continue to dominate the event at the highest levels.
In December 2014 Corey Gallagher from Manitoba, Canada
won the FloTrack Beer Mile World Championships in Austin,
Texas and now current World Recor holder Lewis Kent, from
Ontario, Canada has won the World Beer Mile Classic in San
Francisco, California.

Alarm bells should be going off in the UK, Germany, Belgium
and most other countries as they risk falling dangerously far
behind the Canadians who seem to have a well developed
national program in place and a very deep pool of talent to
choose from.
