Agreed. And the amazing thing is that he's one of the favorites whether the race is PN, MSR, FW or one of the cobbled classics.

At the moment there should be no doubt that he is the most versatile rider in the peloton. There is nothing where he is really bad at. Excellent at hills and decending, but also quite good in the high mountains, time trials or on cobbles. Even his sprint is fine (watch Tour de France 2013).

Kwiatkowski should just have told him he couldn't care less about this race and quit pedalling. That would have gotten him to pull. Instead he half assed it on the front and they had no chance.
