6 minutes at the base of the final climb will be enough for people like Bongiorno, Betancur and Intxuasti to get the stage win.

The 11 chasers are not working together. Big fail by them cause this could be a great opportunity for someone to win the stage.
Too many leaders and captains for it to work.

Dont get why Tinkoff Saxo is pulling.. they're seriously tactically stupid. Is is Michaelsen og De Jongh calling the shots? They really miss Riis! why couldn't they just let them ride with 7-8 minutes?

maybe they just want to set tempo that's suitable for contador. He doesn't look like he is that rossy. God knows if Astana in-front, they will be demolishing the entire peloton.

They're setting basic tempo, nothing special.
Yeah they're riding uphill with Tosatto not really a hard pace; if the break can't handle that....
No disrespect, please :p
Of course not, I'm a huge fan! I just don't expect Tosatto to slaughter the peloton on the climbs. Everyday at least :p

Would be funny to see what happened if they stop pulling. Would Astana and SKY share some of the work load? Or do they simply just not care about Niemic?

I doubt Contador will attack today. He will most likely try to hang on and try to minimize any loss of time.

“Yes, tomorrow is a complicated day for me. It’s a day that I was waiting for prior to my crash, because it was a stage, where I could have attacked. But now I have to be calmer and quieter on the bike and wait and see what my rivals do. At this moment, the only thing I’m thinking of is to put ice on my shoulder and knee to recover in the best way possible”, states Alberto Contador.

I had my doubts about Contador would attack but it now seems to be a certainty.

Why would he give away his plan like that? He's fine. By announcing that, it's pretty clear to me that he's just going to wait for Aru or Porte to attack and then counter.

What are you talking about, he looks completely normal  as he should at this stage

That is entirely depending on how they drive and/or if they manage to keep the pace and colleborate during the climb. If not, six minutes gets soaked up in zero time when Astana goes ballistic, and goes ballistic they must. They cant keep sitting around at this point in time.

No chance for the break with this gap.So no Zakarin or Betancur win today :(

Agree. The bonus seconds at the end are also tempting.
Betancur likes Fast and Furious, and he also likes Reggae.
I think it was Lobato yesterday who also liked Fast and Furious

Kruiswijk ffs. Get into a break for once. Specially on a day like this.

Chance is you lose less time for thengc then try to follow and who knows maybe the break can fight ftw.

Left for work and checking again I see Kruiswijk is testa de la corsa.

Oh well, glad they finally smartened up at Lotto-Jumbo.

7 minutes is a good difference for a climber like him. Now is most downhiil till last climb. With 5 minutes "Crispis", Betancur, Zakarin or other could win.
