No chance for the break with this gap.So no Zakarin or Betancur win today

7 minutes is a good difference for a climber like him. Now is most downhiil till last climb. With 5 minutes "Crispis", Betancur, Zakarin or other could win.

There's a few riders who could still finish clear of GC boys including Niemiec with 5 minutes. But I would bet on Zakarin not Bentacur today.

not really. putting a simple thing like rain jacket will be a difficult to do it.

It could be simply to avoid the risk of dehydration later. Everything must not circle around that god damn shoulder which is perfectly in place.

Tinkoff just doesn't have to ride. Just don't give away too much time, keep the gap so that if someone else grabs it you can take it back whenever you want.

I'm not sure. Either way, if Aru takes bonus seconds he still grabs the jersey, unless Aru and Contador finish 2nd and 3rd.

Contador blatantly wasn't dropped earlier in the stage if he was able to pick up bonus seconds in the sprint. I wouldn't trust Italian information. Always chaotic and full of ***.

Nippo-Vini Fantini riding to save a final top10 GC placing for Cunego. There are some riders in the break (Niemiec, Kruijswijk,...) that can move up on the GC and be dangerous for a top10. Hope I'm wrong but I think this is the reason for the pulling.
