Who was the Movistar guy following Contador's attack? Lobato? or Amador? Didn't look like Visconti and definitely not Izaguirre.
I was hearing it was Lobato. I think Caruso, Uran and Matthews were the only other ones responding.

It was Amador
Makes far mores sense. Good for Andrey!

Betancur might win a stage in a few days and he will not have to cross the line first.
Take it to the clinic.

Zakarin says he was a bit tired after Romandie - why he didn't do well in the first week.

Not remotely comparable to Froome. He actually experience this human feeling called tiredness.

By the way it wasn't Amador who overtook Contador. It was number 117 - Lobato.

Sorry, I thought it was Amador, I only saw it live didn't see any replays yet.

Contador says it was just a test.
And he was flying as he attacked incredible speed. Luckily I was stood on the climb at 150m from top (same place Ilnur went lap 3) and as I saw it he's completely tested the explosiveness (or lack of) in riders for the upcoming battles. This Giro has been epic!

Edit; I have a great pic of the attack but don't know how to upload it as I'm not great with technology.

Wait, Fleche Wallone is tomorrow? I thought it was Friday. Good. We might know tomorrow if Contador can go 17-0, and the riders can rest on Fri before the tt.

You probably could! I'll try over a beer later Flo! I met a independent photographer he put my 1 photo to shame with about 5/6 of the attack. If I do it I'll post it in AC thread. He looked beast mode to me. :)

What...is...the...point...

Isn't it obvious?

Aru was at his wheel when he attacked and at the end of the climb he wasn't anymore.

Now let's think, that means aru couldn't hold contador's attack.

Now maybe contador saw aru was weak and wanted to test him.

Aru definitely cared, he tried to follow him.

Could be. Not obvious to me that Aru was in any trouble, but obviously Contador did that for some reason.

He admitted earlier in this Giro that sometimes he just gets bored. It could also be that he wanted to see how well Aru would respond and maybe he just wanted to test out the shoulder as someone mentioned earlier.

When was the last time in a grand tour we had this many wins from the morning breakaway, and it's only stage 11.
That's 6 wins for the break from 10 road stages.

Yeah, this is turning into an enjoyable GT for the reason you mention.Who cares about the GC being over, there is plenty of excitement with the breakaways doing their thing. :)
