Would love to see Rosa take this. He has worked hard for his teammates from the beginning of the season, very unlucky last year.

So is Rosa in the break to give Astana the excuse not to do any work or so that he can help when they go mental and try and win the Giro on a medium mountain stage?

Agree, plus a man in break gives them options is things kick off later but realistically if they were going to go nuts they'd have had to have started by now..

Just seen Porte interviewed about the penalty yesterday. Classy guy - not a hint of bitterness. Incredible respect for that attitude.

Total waste of strength from Astana. After the time trial Contador will be too far ahead for them to try anything.

If we get Intxausti, Betancur and Kruijswijk fighting for the mountain jersey like this, it could be quite entertaining! It's not often that we see three good climbers sprinting for mountain points on a random low category climb!
