He's medal is gaining my respect now. I used to dislike him because he beat Purito to win the 2012 Giro, but the way he's riding this year and last year, it's been good. He's gaining a fan.

Hejdsedal helping Contador = they will both gain time in the GC. And Contador will let Hejsedal go into a break tomorrow and saturday without chasing him down.

That's what I think.

Best Grand Tour in.. 10 years?
Nah, it's fun to watch but the overall was decided before the mountains even began. Contador has no real competition in the race.

Haha I suppose, luckily I wasn't able to watch much of that Giro at all so I never really experienced Purito failing.

If Landa was so strong, he'd not have sat up as soon as he reached the chasing group spinning a high cadence to recover.

Come on. He had to bridge a gap of 1 minute to that chase group. Of course he had to recover from that. But from the fact he closed the gap to Contador from 1.40 to 1.00 showed he was just as strong as Berto on Ologno.

But Contador is in a position where it doesn't matter.

I only started tuning in when Contador had already attacked and Landa and Aru were in a group with the others. Can someone briefly summarise what happened up to that point? Why did Landa have to bridge a gap to the Aru group?

Holy ****, Hejsedal is riding well.
It's just like last year. Ryder gets better and better in a 3 week race. Almost beat Quintana on Val Martello

Then got dropped by everyone and their mother in all the mountain stages after that.
Yet he finished 9th with that awful team time trial in mind. You cannot deny his ability to recover and endure through a 3 week race.

I hope Contador is getting a nice training ride, because if he's going all out just for revenge, he's an idiot. He doesn't need the GC time, and he's very unlikely to catch the break for a stage win.

Really, really, really don't understand everyone here praising him. Strategically, this appears to be a very dumb thing to do.

I'll eat some of my words if he wins the stage, but if he doesn't, this will come back to haunt him at the TDF. And right after he said every move had consequences.

Can everyone just calm down about this? Sheesh, lets just enjoy THIS race, and stop worrying about the Tour! Just enjoy what you are watching NOW, and stop worrying about what might happen in another 6 weeks!

He used plenty of cars in that chase back. That helps you know :D
