The coming hours and days will be crucial.

Indeed. He fell hard on the front of his face looking at the images I prefer to see only once.

If he hit his head hard and he has headtrauma it's still tense. Hope it's more blood then fractures.

Wtf guys. I'm on my way home so I have no idea what's going on reading those reactions gave me major goosebumps here.

He'll be fine. Don't know when, but he'll be fine :)

Thank God.

You don't know if he will be fine. Major complications can come within the next hours, or days. Perhaps he has got much brain damage. We just don't know.

For the moment, you can just hope the best.

It looked a lot worse than it was because of the blood... at least that's what I'm hoping

Exactly. Dont know how pipo from thousands of km away can say he will be fine. Embarassing.

Hate to say it but this reminds me of Casartelli :-(

In that case every crash reminds of Casartelli. Fabio crashed against a block of concrete and was pretty much dead at the spot.

We dont know what happened yet so lets not draw any conclusions of his injuries.

I saw the first images and that reminded me. It was not my intet to draw any conclusions. RAI just said that he moved when he was put in the ambulance. So thats good news

No worries mate. I got worked up since i´ve seen too many disasters occuring on exactly these types of occasions. Small and/or long technical high speed downhills.

Luckily it seems ok. Hope for the best.

Yeah, I fear he will have the same fate as Soler :( At least that's a million times better than that of Wouter.

Nothing wrong with being optimistic. Getting depressed yourself about it is hardly going to help him, so why not just hope for the best until more details are confirmed?

Just came back from college, first thing I hear is Pozzovivo's life is not in danger

What the serious *** happened?

From cyclingnews live report:

Rai TV says race doctor Giovanni Tredici said of Pozzovivo: There’s good news, I’ve been told that he’s conscious. He hurt his face but its not an emergency situation at the moment. Dr Branca in ambulance 1 is with him but the news is comforting.

My thoughts exactly. I'd miss him in the races, if this is the end of his career. But I'd miss him even more if he was gone.

In the meantime, Simon Clarke is doing what he does best, sitting in the wheel of a breakaway, not doing anything

First I compliment Orica on their tactics, but now Im cursing them. Why ride.... Sure the stage win is a lot more certain, but the pink jersey will be more solid on their shoulders.

Didn't Soler end up in a coma with brain injuries? I don't think Pozzo's injuries are that severe. Atleast I don't hope so
