I'm surprised that none of the Hesjedal-is-a-good-ITT'er-and-will-beat-Contador-easily-trolls have posted yet.

Full chicken only works in the mountains not in TTs.
Maybe this was the full chicken he talked abt?
I think ful chicken is warranted as a term here...

Well, with Contador losing an additional 2 minutes because of his adjusted TT position, Hesjedal might have a chanceGigs_98 said:I fear some of these guys aren't even trollingHugo Koblet said:I'm surprised that none of the Hesjedal-is-a-good-ITT'er-and-will-beat-Contador-easily-trolls have posted yet.

Just a little anecdote since we have plenty of time...
In 1947 the ITT in TDF was a stunning 139km![]()
I would have expected larger gaps... Pretty amazing actually...

Hesjedal can do a long ITT under the rain better than Contador.
.

This is almost certainly going to be longest TT the riders will do for their career. Some will have done the 2013 WC TT at 57.2kms, Chavanel won the 2013 Chono des Nations at 57 kms. Contador did 55km TT at the 2005 and 2007 Tours.

With Contador at his best.
I dont belive anyway that change of position becouse I know Contador and his people around quite well...If someone proof that change, I believe.

Hesjedal can do a long ITT under the rain better than Contador. I hope he is recover of his effort in the breakaways.
He is not an specialist, but he is an endurance man.
But today can happens lot of things...It is impossible to do a prediction.
Easily is not going to be, Hesjedal couldnt beat Contador in the last ITT of Tour 2011, and then Hesjedal was in good shape, he was one of the best of that Tour and he had similar wind conditions, headwind, bad for Hesjedal... I think that Hesjedal has not a very good position for ITT, so if today depends much on aerodinamic, I dont think he could beat contador, If not, I think he will do if he has a good day. if depends in aerodinamic,s and Porte is OK, he will win.

This is the Giro, not the Tour. We have to temper our expectations accordingly.
