Re: Stage 14: Treviso – Valdobbiadene 59.4 kms ITT

Contador may have lost minutes if this was the first week of the freaking Dauphine. It isn't. It's two weeks into a tough, hard-raced Giro d'Italia and he's improving every step of the way compared to his opponents. There's no great flat tt'ers there, he'll very likely top 5

Chavanel, LL Sanchez, Bookwalter are other Top 10 candidates. But i guess it all depends on motivation.

I hope that Contador has a really bad TT, not because I don't like him, I just think it would make the race much more interesting if Contador doesn't have an easy ride

Of couse he is goint to lose too minutes, he is not good in long ITT, he is good in another kind of ITT. He is very strong, that is true...but we will see.

The pointis although he losed twoo minutes with Urán or Porte, they have to attack to win the Giro, it will be more interesting with Contador on the attack. I hope Aru and Landa dont lose too much and keep on trying.
Again this *** about him being bad in long ITTs, there is no evidence to support that claim, in fact his results show otherwise.

Hesjedal beating Contador by a minute? lolol

I think Contador wont be top 5 or even top ten of the stage and Hesjedal can put a minute of him, althoug he is everyday in breakaways or with the best and must be tired.
Do you want to do an avatar-bet; Hesjedal vs. Contador in the ITT with no handicap. I bet that Contador will beat Hesjedal in the ITT, you bet that Hesjedal will beat Contador in the ITT. You can decide for how long the loser will have to wear the avatar the winner chooses.

Fair?

People are constatly underestimating ACs tt capabilities in a tour. This is not a third week tt, but recovery is still important after 2 weeks, so unless he has an accident, he will at worst be top 10, most likely top 5, possibly top 3, or even win if Uran has a bad day, and he has a good one.

I'd bet a lot of money on Contador>Hesjedal with a 1 minute handicap to Hesjedal.

Seriously, Hesjedal isn't even a good TTer and he is old and not in great shape. Would be very surprised if he gets closer than 3 minutes to Berto here.

From the favourites:

Porte
Rigo 10 sec
Amador 30 sec
Hesjedal 1 10
Van der Broek 1:20
Contador 2:20
Aru 3:10
Cunego 3:50
Caruso 4.00
Landa 5:30

Cataldo, Kreuziger, Koning, Kiriyenka, Kangert,,..could do it really well, but as domestiques I dont Know

A lot of love for this post. It's true Ryder is a diesel and will do really well in a long time trial  (by his standards, that means top 30, maybe sneak into the top 20 :D ). I'll go with Zakarin. I'm interested how Amador will do, I'm not sure if he'll last the distance as his best results have come in relatively short efforts, but he is obviously in great form. If Duran Duran hampered by injuries, I think Bertie will be the best of the GC guys, as his recuperation is better than Porte-Cabin's. Contador could even win this. I just hope that Aru is in better shape than today and has been working on his TT, otherwise it's going to be a long day.

Zakarin will be one second behind the winner of the stage.

If Sky let him ride, I would go for Kiriyenka.

I think Uran will be in pink with Contador and Porte close to each other and not too far behind. I don't think Aru will be within 2 minutes of the lead.
I'd say that normally no one in the Giro should be able to beat Kiryienka on a course like this.

But maybe he had to sacrifice his own chance in order to send information about the route to Porte.

Your predictions are getting odder and odder.

It's always the same prediction- contador will lose. Then when he wins it's - contador was lucky, everyone else unlucky.

Thankfully his incessant and probably deliberate spelling and grammar mistakes make him come off deluded in a harmless way and therefore none threatening so the fantadors don't give him anywhere near as much grief as someone who tried to appear rational would.
