Nice job from Owen. Best road result by far. Reigning U23 U.S. cyclocross champion.

Edit: He was 4th in the road world championship as a junior in '13 but I still say this is a better result.

Rosskopf and van Zyl have been monster strong so far.

Didn't know that Bookwalter could sprint so well. Owen didn't come out of the saddle until 50 meters to go, had an amazing kick!

Unpredictable - real racing - with plenty of attacks.

Same. Really feel for Bookwalter: I think he has two or three pro wins. Even though he's been with BMC since 2008 (only remaining team member from 08?) it feels like he knows he's in danger of not having his contract renewed this time around.

Well, good news. Trek has put out a statement saying the race radio reports were false and he doesn't have a broken collarbone after all.

Fox doing a poor job broadcasting the event nationally, moving it from channel to channel within its own network, for whatever reason, but makes no sense, especially for those who want to tape. I don't recall Fox ever doing cycling, and if this is their maiden voyage it shows, a lot.
