Cofidis have about 8 riders at the front of the peloton but not bringing the break back. A strong 8 odd rider group is out the front.

Strong front group at the french one (Voeckler, Bardet, Barguil, Coppel and others IIRC), peloton at 1:10, Cofidis riding. 22 to go

These are Luke Rowe's options -

1. Work with Cav to bring back Kennaugh and Stannard and maybe win the race.

2. Sit on, hope for the best, and maybe ride the Tour.

Quandary for the young Welshman

I think his best bet is to ride away from Cav on the climb.

I don't think it's that tough a decision. Option 2 clearly the best.

So far Rowe has been the weakest of the four of them on the climb, I think he needs to attack before that if he wants to win.

Kennaugh is getting a much better slipstream from Stannard than visa versa!

Kennaugh still looks like he's not going full has on the climb so he doesn't drop Stannard.

Great ride from Cav but can't see him dropping Kennaugh on the climb.

Cav looking as good as 2013 before he got ill; hopefully riding the 2nd half of this as a TT isn't going to have a similar effect

Sky makes even this race boring. Why is there no help for cav? The national championship should be about the riders not about the team

Interesting finale at the French. Demare and Moinard trying to bridge to the leaders.

Demare is in between the peloton and the break. In no man's land.
