The Wiggins hype has reached stratospheric levels. The sooner he's out of the race tomorrow, the better.

He made it into the lead group, last year (???) before Terpstra left.

When he's done well, he's basically paced his way back into a lead group. He'd need to launch a blistering attack AND have a teammate with him to defend while in a lead group. These things I just don't see happening. Sky's team strategy and on-road team tactics are just terrible for these races.

This coming from someone who put Wiggo's chances near zero on the last P-R, so....

Being norwegian I hope Kristoff takes it, but don`t see that (He is likely to be alone quite early I`m afraid, and being attacked to pieces by Etixx and maybe BMC me thinks),
so failing that I`d actually like Wiggins to do a Cancellara and just ride the pack to pieces.. Can`t see it happening, but it would be a rather epic ending to a special career..
No "Sir" has ever won it?
Would be kind of cool.

And since that is not likely to happen either, I`d like Tiesj Benoot to brake the laws of physics, go on a
unlikely break not being pulled in since no one wants to tow Kristoff or Degenkolb back and win at age 21.
Would also be cool.

I read that the sun will shine tomorrow but of course if its raining heavily right now there is a possibility that it will still be wet

You can get odds of 3/1 on him not to finish the race. If there is any hint of rain around, that's like buying money.

I wonder what the hell happened to Vansummeren, he has been anonymous these last few years. I know he had some luck to win that Roubaix but he used to be a decent rider, now he's just off the grid

He's getting old! 34 this yeaar.
He's not that old... I hopes he comes up with something tomorrow :)

djee. 2 stars for Vanmarcke. Guy with the biggest engine and only one of few able to rip the field apart and to keep going...(ever saw that from Stybar?)
I will smile if he shakes off the rest of the pack with 50K to go (even if he doesn't make it till the end). Hoping for relentless attacking after the Forest of Arenberg by Vanmarcke or any other guy trying to make this a very hard race (Bersee and Mons-en-Pevele are my favourite parts, perfect attackers' playground!).
Let the race begin!

ps: if it comes down to a sprint, Degenkolb will be very close.
Stybar easily rode with Canc in his best form in 2013,I doubt VM will ride better than the whinning machine

I saw Canc having some trouble on the cobbles of Gruson and Hem just following Vanmarcke, while Stybar couldn't close a 20-meter gap. I also saw Canc in his best form beating Vanmarcke and telling in the interview that he never went this deep to win Roubaix. But everybody likes to see what he likes best :)
Stybar was knocked off his bike on the Carrefour de l'Arbre.

Thanks for the info (like I didn't know, I even remember the exact location = 200mtrs before the cafe at the Carrefour)
But it's completely irrelevant for not closing that 20-meter gap. He was cooked and the collision with camera (who technically didn't knock him off his bike) just showed he could barely follow.
Ohh god, he was slowed to 5km/h, how was he supposed to chase them down when all of them were almost on their limits?
You should try some racing, then you may understand

Did Wiggo attacked once in any race he has been? How is he supposed to win PR? Maybe the wonder rear suspension bikes will help him ride everybody off his wheel.

Lars Boom and Zdenek Stybar are now probably performing a rain dance for tomorrow. A wet Roubaix would very much favor them.

A wheelie on that corner!

Who said his bike handling is poor? Taking a corner like that on the hoods and pulling a wheelie - he's going to make Sagan jealous with skills like that!

It's going to be completely dry and sunny with temperatures above 15C...
The question is how heavyly it rained today. If there was really strong rain the cobbles are maybe a little bit wet.

That's easier said than done for most though. If there was one race where I could believe Wiggo winning something besides a TT, this would be the race.... under excellent conditions... Tomorrow seems like excellent conditions.

The pave should be **very** fast as long as there isn't much standing water. And very fast for everyone as the dust should be almost non-existent.

Anyone have the wind forecast? We might get lucky and get some decent winds.

Decent tail/crosswind from southwest or west.
