Stage 5 in particular looks great. With a profile like that a rider could make a realistic winning break 100km from the finish!

Not a lot of firepower here. Berhane vs Seeldraeyers vs Rebellin.

but lets not forget Sonny.

OK, I'll bite. Is it Chicchi? Bos? Boonen? Damn, there are a bunch of sprinters in this race.

Forty clicks minimum. None of the above qualify.

Looks a bit like Horner, but he's not a sprinter and not participating.

Perfect sprint by QS and Cav. Very nice by Ewan also. Bit of a miracle that there was no crash, especially sketchy around where Ewan was at 400-500 m to go.

No surprise today,Etixx too strong, good performance for Ewan.Interesting tactics from Lotto, they managed to isolate Greipel perfectly.

Why does greipel always sit in the middle of his train. I never got that
Greipel's burst is limited, he's more a guy who has great top end speed but needs to build up the speed to it, he doesn't explode into his sprint. Therefore having a guy tailing him makes it harder for riders who do have that burst to get around him. He never used to need that racing the 2nd tier events for HTC, as a) their train was too strong for the opposition and b) he was a better sprinter than most of those he was competing against. But now he has to compete against the best regularly, it's probably something they've tried out to help him out, since he's always been quite good at putting in just about the best sprint but from a bad position as he has a tendency to let himself get boxed in.

So why have 3 riders behind him? Surely he only needs 1. A bit like kittel with Veelers. Because surely sitting 4th wheel all day saps energy

Just caught up on highlights, a chaotic leadout with no team taking control until Etixx got Boonen, Renshaw and Cav clear with 600m to go. Nice win for Cavendish.
