Etixx had no men left. Probably all spent from yesterday. And obviously no one else is going to help Cavendish in the last k. He was a brave man to try that though. Good win

It's a shame Caja Rural wasn't invited to the Giro. They showed great form recently. Even without leaders Pardilla/Arroyo they could have brought a strong team : Mas Bonet, Barbero, Txurruka, Bilbao, Fraile, Lasca, Parra, Prades, Vilela

Decent performance for Sepulveda and McCarthy in this race, expected more from Lopez.Good job from Caja Rural animating this race, this team surely deserves more credit.Lluis Mas is an interesting rider, hopefully a bigger team will step in at the end of the season, maybe Movistar.

And that's the interesting point. You should invite Caja because they have riders like Mas, Parra, Txurruka, Bilbao and Barbero. Not because they have (with all kinds of respect) some 2nd tier GC men (who in Arroyo's case is past his prime).

I've read that Cavendish walked off the podium when Erdogan was giving a long propaganda speech before handing out the prizes. Sometimes Cav's bad manners are welcome. Erdogan is a piece of ***.
