Will we see an attack from Nibali down on Col d'Aspin? Is there any other reason for Grivko to stay "in the middle"? Grivko seems to cycle too fast to just be sliding back the peloton again.

Only 55 seconds for Dan Martin now. Still 4.5 km left of Aspin, so he should catch them before the top.

Well Nibali has today and 3 Alpine stages to attack on a descent close to the finish [16, 17, 18 ] - but it has been a long time since he has done a banzaii descent . . . ?

He was on the attack on the descent in the national championships

Majka's form was **** coming into this, wasn't it? We know Buchmann came in with form and we know Pauwels is riding well. Pauwels finished 3 minutes behind Froome yesterday or something like that and Buchmann finished 6 minutes behind. I can see one of Pauwels or Buchmann winning this stage. If Majka attacks on the Tourmalet, then those two will probably be able to go with him. I"m not sure Majka will win this stage.

Majka was in the yellow jersey group with < 20 riders left yesterday. He's obviously got some form but soft-pedalled the finish. I'd be concerned Pauwels went too deep yesterday

Can anyone explain to me why Demare is in the break?!

Pulling for Morabito.

Ok but in what way is he pulling? Presumably hes dropped now so wont be any use from here. Did he work on the front to get the break away initially? maybe he was trying to stay with the break over the aspin but it doesnt look like thats gonna happen unless he can somehow catch up on the descent

This and he pulled in the first km's of the Aspin.
