I think there is too much valley before the final climb. With another tough MTF tomorrow, this is probably the sensible strategy. Don't know why Astana led up the Col though. Maybe to see if Porte and Thomas could be dropped?

I expected Nibali will go for it in downhill, but I guess that this downhill it is not tecnical enough to make a difference and Sky could catch them on false flat

Majka will go for breakaway tommorow as well. Then save himself on flat stages and go once more in Alps. Then stay with favorites and drop everyone bar Froome, Quintana, Nibali and Porte on stage 20
