If there's no ambulance, then it's an even bigger disgrace for the aso.

That's their responsibility no?

I would expect that if there are no ambulances available, they would neutralize for insurance / liability purposes.

Yeah, it's fair enough to stop it. They can't continue without enough police & ambulances to support the race properly.

There are so many examples of gc riders losing time in crashes and never getting their races neutralized. Why does canc get it?

Dont think its about Canc. Its about so many seriously injured that they dont have anough medical support.

Exactly this. Stop with the Cancellara bashing already. There was total chaos, too many injured for the medical assistance available. As much as it goes against the grain of 'the race goes on at all costs', it was correct of them to neutralize, at least imho.

Neutralising the race because half the field crashwd and need medical attention. Feel free to use your brains people.

Get out of here at most 15 went down. This called the hyper-safety culture litigation and the tempora felice has bread. Before they raced without helmets and broke their skulls and nobody stopped the race.

There are ambulances, but they are stopped to attend to the couple of dozen riders that went down at 50km/h. They can't have an ambulance for every rider

Will they stop race for safety reasons if too many are injured and the doctors/ambulances can't follow the peleton?

Regardless of who's right or wrong, can someone explain the stupid bashing of 1 of the top3 riders of the 2000s? Just because he neutralized a stage when the shlecks went down?

It's been 15 mins and still no ambulance. Does the NHS cover Belgium too?

Where are they going to get it from? You can't just phone a local hospital and get one to come immediately to support a sporting event - they have other important things to do

Or should they leave the riders with broken bones and needing medical treatment to wait so that the race can continue?
