On the very steep hairpin bend I thought Nibali was going to crack, but apparently he went to the finish line with no effort. On the other hand, I thought Contador was on fire at the start of the Mur but he looked miserable...

Lol at people saying that Froome is not explosive.

To be honest he wasn't that explosive, Purito flew away from him.

But he put up an incredibly high pace for a long time, which means he almost caught Purito when his pace dropped.

Clearly the the steepness didn't hurt him that much though, showing that even on a short steep climb like this he's clearly near the top.

yep, he rode it like Valverde did in Fleche this year. Just sustained high tempo which shed most riders off his wheel. It looks like even Mur de Huy has become a victim to power-meter riding now. :(

Andy Schleck was second in the flèche wallone 2009, and I think quintana is a very similar rider. So I think its possible that nairo wont even do as bad as everyone expects.
quintana and andy are COMPLETELY different type of riders. still as long as quintana is placed well he won't lose much time. froome will have a harder time on mur

Based on what will Froome do bad? You got a performance of him on a mur like that when he's in top shape? If so then please share.

That is why Froome will not fail (unless he crashes, which ofc could happen to each and every rider).
You know it: Ryo makes a prediction, then it goes the opposite. That led to my T-5 pick for him. ;)

LOLZ.

"Sadly i had Ryos words ringing the ears this whole stage. He did it again"

Same here, the whole day.... First up today was Uran since he praised him in the other thread... and boom Uran crashes.

GVA, Sagan, Gallopin and to a lesser extent Stybar all have a good chance of yellow tomorrow. Not sure of Gallopin's cobbled form, and since Sagan will be looking after Contador, GVA and Stybar will have a good fight for that jersey.

I wouldn't rule out Martin though. Yes he doesn't have much cobbled experience, but he's a beast.

Look at 2013 descent to Gap. No-one able to distance him until he followed Contador off-road, and then still managed to descend back to the group of favourites (with Porte's help and none from Contador).

Race is over for everyone else on GC. In the Physical sense. If Froome stays safe the race is in bag.

This is beyond ridiculous. How can anyone believe this?

You can Quote me in 3 weeks. It's far from ridiculous
