seems like cn staff aren't doing the "km left" counter any more, at least not with any regularity. please give ample warning in this thread when the 2km mark approaches

Casual cycling fans watching Eurosport will be expecting a Cav win. Kirby and Kelly seem convinced that he is a big favourite today.

the usual argument why pure sprinters might be competitive is something like "they'll ride into the short hill with 65km/h!". but almost a km is just too long

You think that's bad, the Dutch commentators just suggested Robert Gesink as a possible winner here. Gesink has about the same shot at winning as bugs bunny

Its when they read out the questions from these guys. T'other day they had;

"How long do the riders stay in the feed zone"

:rolleyes:

Kirby has been worse then ever and it sadly looks as if Kelly finally have giving in to the uncontrollable mouth of the guy next to him. He just roll along in order of survival.

That's nothing extraordinary to be fair. Anyday in his heydays he'd be a good shout, Cavendish on the other hand...

Looking forward to Cav going to the front just before the climb as part of the Etixx leadout and Kirby shouting that he is going for the win.

What's great about Phil and Paul are their voices. So distinctive. Irrevocably linked with the TdF.

Must be awful for Kelly. I'm listening to Phil and Paul today. Total nonsense of course but for some reason I don't find it anywhere near as annoying - it's like listening to grandparents approaching senility and I just keep thinking "Aww bless em"
