Pinot should lose between 1 and 1:20 minutes to Dumoulin, who should win today, Spilak will be about 30 or 40 seconds behind, so probably won't overtake Pinot. Pozzo could pull off a Vuelta 2013 and surprise everyone, and I'm not sure about G - I have not seen him in a while in a long TT, although he will probably be on par with Spilak.

Not very bold but oh well.

He did horribly in his last TT, in Romandie, 84th, but he can't have been trying. In his longest TT this year, Volta ao Algarve (albeit 19km) he came third, three seconds behind Martin and Malori, and beat Kwiatkowski, Castroviejo, and Porte.

You have to go back to the Commonwealth Games for a TT of this length: he finished 14 seconds behind Dowsett and 5 behind Rohan Dennis, but that's 1. ages ago and 2. unlike either of them he'd just done the Tour.

With the length and course of this one Doumoulin should be a big favorite here, GC and stage. With his current form he should be able to take a minute on Thomas.
It will be interesting to see if Pinot has improved his TT. Engine looks to be a bit stronger than last year at least. Wouldn't be too surprised if he keeps Thomas behind him.

Hard to tell if his last three days of grabbing seconds is out of strength or insecurity.
