No, he is not.
Del Toro is leading races his team, as Giulio should to.
Del Toro is not allowed to finish ahead of Pogi. At RBH currently there are no such limitations regardless of the leader.

If he is stronger, he would.Del Toro is not allowed to finish ahead of Pogi. At RBH currently there are no such limitations regardless of the leader.
Indeed. Pogacar is still much better than Del Toro. Roglic is not better than Pellizzari, big difference. If he is stronger, he would.
Giulio not allowed to ride, while he is stronger.
Thats the difference. Nor is he getting the opportunity to lead the race from the beginning, as he should.

Thats factually wrong, but think as you like.So if Rogla will be better then Giulio, then no issues there? Until then and AFAIK Giulio is free. Del Toro isn't.
If Primoz is better of course there is no problem. He is a big former champion that deserves support if he is still the best for his team in a race.So if Rogla will be better then Giulio, then no issues there? Until then and AFAIK Giulio is free. Del Toro isn't.
Almost got a stage win, distanced everyone except Del Toro. Surely the maximum he could have gotten out of the race? I don't really value taking pulls just to look more manly when he's the weakest in the group. In the Giro he surely wasnt allowed to ride for himself until Roglic was out of the race. Today he didnt cooperate with Del Toro, while there was an opportunity to gain time on everyone else.
Del Toro is in much worse position ATM, at UAE, then Giulio is at RBH.
I saw zero indication Pellizzari was working for Roglic today. He was clearly racing for himself.Pellizzari is close to being Red Bull best GC rider. Impressive improvements on the harder stages and TT for this natural Climber.
Red Bull should start allowing him to race for himself after he will prove again that he has surpassed Roglic.
YesIsn't that the case here and in the Giro?
He is already free…Free Giulio
He didn’t cooperate with Del Toro in part because he was hanging on with two guys with better punch and proven off-road chops and Del Toro is the GC favorite now. It was smart not to cooperate. In the Giro he surely wasnt allowed to ride for himself until Roglic was out of the race. Today he didnt cooperate with Del Toro, while there was an opportunity to gain time on everyone else.
Del Toro is the dom in most races, although Pogi is so good he hasn’t even needed him. I don’t think Pellizzari is actually serving as a dom anywhere. No, he is not.
Del Toro is leading races for his team, as Giulio should to but he is not getting the opportunity.
He was better today, sure, but I would not choose him over Roglic in a GT. Maybe that will change after the Giro. We’ll see. I’d love to see him hang with Vingegaard.Indeed. Pogacar is still much better than Del Toro. Roglic is not better than Pellizzari, big difference.
He raced brilliantly today, and he was hyper aware of what he needed to do and executed. He did make a mistake by slowing so much at the finish, he thought like everyone else Del Toro was toast and was sitting up..slight miscalculation. He really looks great .Almost got a stage win, distanced everyone except Del Toro. Surely the maximum he could have gotten out of the race? I don't really value taking pulls just to look more manly when he's the weakest in the group.
No, he is dom in almost every race starting out thus far.He is already free…
It is actually the complete opposite, as Del Toro has led 2/3 so far this season.Del Toro is the dom in most races, although Pogi is so good he hasn’t even needed him. I don’t think Pellizzari is actually serving as a dom anywhere.
Today clearly not, and in Valencia he probably got the best result he could have gotten anyway. Don't think he would have beaten Almeida, and he clearly wasn't beating Evenepoel. If you're on a stacked team, you sometimes have better riders than yourself in the team. Price to pay for being on a good team. I don't see any evidence of him suffering particularly badly yet from not being free. He'll be 'official' co-leader at the Giro, and the other co-leader isn't looking stellar at the moment. No, he is dom in almost every race starting out thus far.
It could have been in his interest to keep the pace high and potentially gain another 8-10 seconds on GC rivals.Almost got a stage win, distanced everyone except Del Toro. Surely the maximum he could have gotten out of the race? I don't really value taking pulls just to look more manly when he's the weakest in the group.
This is the first race that actually matters this year and he is not a dom. Then he is racing the Giro as protected leader. What am I missing? No, he is dom in almost every race starting out thus far.

A lot imo. This is the first race that actually matters this year and he is not a dom. Then he is racing the Giro as protected leader. What am I missing?

Still want him to be getting more opportunities. Not being hindered.Pellizzari has been dom in one race so far.
He isn't a dom here, he won't be in the Giro.
Still want him to be getting more opportunities. Not being hindered.
Nothing wrong with that. I like him and think he is that good.
Hope he doesnt have to keep coming off the bench. Thats all.
So free Giulio!
He should be leading more stage-races as he is the best one they got. IMO.He is going to get more opportunities if he proves to be good enough, they are not hindering him.
If he podiums the Giro, he is getting a protected role in the Vuelta as well. What more does he need?

Sue me for rating him highly.
He's not doing the Vuelta. He wants to be properly prepared for autumn classics. He is going to get more opportunities if he proves to be good enough, they are not hindering him.

Now with Evenepoel/Lipo the balance is similar to what Del Toro has in UAE.
