Just watched the final 5km's of stage 4. Impressive riding from Mollema, closing down all the attacks. Clearly lacks the punch of Slagter, but I wonder if he could have won the stage if he'd not been the one everybody was racing against.

20kms of sterrato today. :) Part of me hopes it rains. The other wants to see dusty roads.

Funny. The Dutch selection was made very early including the likes of Ligthart and Langeveld (langeveld had a horrid season).
Now Lindeman, Van Poppel win vuelta stages and Slagter is very good here.. and you guessed it, they are not selected.

I wonder if the last stage in Edmonton is hard enough for a shake up in GC? I suspect Orica will be trying to formulate a plan.

It was a sprint of about 40 riders last year despite the bad weather.

Ok, so no more dirt. Lasse Norman Hansen in the front for Cannondale. 7 riders chasing. Peloton 2 minutes down, large group of riders at the back. Race looks shattered.

Hope Hansen makes it, but there's a rogue Катюша locomotive incoming.

Aye, lol. All led the wrong way. Trek better put the hammer down quick otherwise Hansen will take the GC lead.
