Now that I think of it, Sagan survived a first category in Suisse, on the stage finishing in Meiringen, on a day the likes of Mollema, Dan Martin, Pinot, Van Garderen, Špilak, and a pletora 'other climbers finished behind. Cannont remember if there were many attacks but still. He then went to outsprint Costa, Kreuziger...

It'll be different today of course.

edit: that had much to do with Scarponi's crash near the top, which splited the group.

He did, but that's different then a long gradual climb up till mount baldy, and then another 5km at more than +9%

True. Just to say he's not exactly incapable even on the big climbs. One thing is a climb before a descent, the other is a mountain finish tailored for the explosive ones.

It was also a couple of years ago, he hasn't shown similar feats since then. I find it hard to imagine, even in this field. It would definately surprise me if he stays within 1 minute of Henao

Last year Wiggo did the work of an entire Sky train up Mount Diablo. They ruin this race controlling everything and everyone. What's their beef in the U.S anyway?

Thanks. I thought 21st Century Fox was a minor sponsor, given they first joined the team for Tour de France only, but I guess there's no such thing in this team.
