It seems like every TdF rider interview has the rider saying an unnecessary "yea" numerous times. I find it irritating.

It's a delay tactic since they have nothing prepared. Which, at this point in their career, is a joke.

I am watching the American package for the first time and hating it. I am so glad I'm not paying for it. I'm looking forward to my situation going back to a Eurosport feed next week. I know the Eurosport commentators are not universally enjoyed but the American direction is just terrible. That's not even Phil and Paul.

I've been watching eurosport coverage off and on all year. 1st impression was they're great. After 1/2 the season the new car smell was gone and they are at the same level as the NBC crews. I now find myself switching between the 2

3 to 4 hours of coverage and NBC rushes off without recap or standings so they can join Nascar qualifying. Good gawd. Not the Daytona 500, qualifying. I didn't even get a chance to see where Fools Slang finished. I'm switching to Eurosport online.

2nd day in a row NBCSN has cut the coverage short and went to car racing. I pay a lot of money for my U-verse package mainly to watch cycling. I also pay for the NBCSN iPhone app for the days I don't/can't take a vacation day during the Tour.
If they keep cutting away to car racing, I'll have to switch to watching on line feeds. And if I have to switch to online feeds, I'll just watch Eurosport for free.
Completely pissed of. Not to mention the constant commercials. It's hard to get into the "story" of the stage because the race keeps getting interrupted.
Frustrating.

How can you get ES online in the USA? You mean pirated streams? I run a ES stream while NBCSN is on TV and watch it during commercials and post stage.

I've never bought the online stream service before (II usually try to watch a pirated French stream) but I have to admit the NBC service is a pretty good deal for me . . . No commercials, coverage through to the end of all the jersey presentations, and same day replay if I missed a bunch of the stage while at work. Yeah, it does mean having Phil and Paul, but I just let them drone on in the background and get my "commentary"from the CN race thread

the commercials have really been ridiculous ever since it became NBCSN. i have recordings of stages from the Versus years, even in 2011 they would show the ENTIRE climb of the Tourmalet without commercial even though it was in the middle of the stage. now they take 4 commercial breaks during the same climb. i can only assume that they had to start paying more for the coverage or NBC just needs to air more commercials per hour. i can live with them cutting the post-race stuff short as long as they show the finish and results, though.

Why on earth did Universal show one hour of the early competitors in the men's ITT, then cut away for "The Business of Sport" and rugby???

So we can get Paul and CVV on NBCSN.....I guess they have to give everyone some work.....

Ah, I see. Unfortunately for me, I have Swing, which gives me Universal Sports but not NBCSN. At least the Richmond 2015 website has a stream.

The Richmond website stream is great! I watch it during commercials :).

The RR is on CNBC Sunday. They are really giving their stable of stations a workout on the Worlds!

Geez they carried the Vuelta and the Worlds along with classics and semi classics.

This Sucks....it is difficult enough to get coverage here and now one of the major cycling channels is going off air. NBC Sports already has cycling relegated to the 1AM day after, time slots. I can't imagine they'll do right by it.

NBCSN already has way too much to show as it is. they should really have a second channel, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. what a shame, the Universal coverage was easily the best in the US.

Easily the best? Perhaps, the only issue was that the Universal Sports was only available to those with the most expensive TV service packages, at least Directv and most cable companies.

That was their biggest mistake because when the channel is not available with the most common TV service packages they will have a very limited viewership and therefore, no advertisers.

I couldn't even get Universal, It was dropped by Comcast locally in I think 2013.

So its passing for me is a good thing. I may have a chance of actually getting to see some of the races it showed.

But yes NBCSN already has too much on its plate.

I liked the fact that they carried cycling on Universal because I could get it with a $10/month Sling subscription rather than paying for cable; it was actually a much cheaper option than getting NBCSN on cable. Now I guess I will cancel my Sling subscription and go back to watching dodgy online streams, because they are not providing an affordable alternative.

I had a satellite put in just so I could get Universal :(. Oh well I have full copies of the Vuelta, Cataluyna, Pais Vasco, etc. since 2011 so it wasn't a bad move for me. Not to mention the Giro until beIN took the rights and my stallite got beIN also.

Universal was the only USA station that showed almost all the events they carried live!

I really wish we could get EuroSport here....... Next year will be a crap shoot I guess.
