Fully deserved win for Chavez Big fail for Valverde and J.Rod,didn't expected such a poor showing

Valverde couldn't really attack with Quintana up the road. So it's not much indication of his form. The other favourites all look very vulnerable though.

That was a great stage. However I think that Froome is now the favorite for the vuelta, because we know that he actually recovered well.
And now I am getting bold: Dumoulin to win the Vuelta

Goodness me I thought Quintana had at least 20 seconds on Froome. Poor camerawork as ever not to make clear Froome et al were well within reach.

He's getting dropped by Purito by 5 seconds. Shows to me he wasn't that good (although Purito remains the best in the world on these kind of finish).

Kudos Chaves. Damn he really rode that last few kms like a madman. Nice showing from Dumoulin, good to see him riding well after injuries.

That was quite an exciting stage!

In the Spanish TV they said he was dropped early with a mechanical.
