You already said that a couple of times. Go spam Guillén if you want to make a difference, but you're not going to convince many people here that this was business as usual.Billie said:willbick said:I reckon hell get 2 mins
10 secs like Peraud got in the Tour is what it should be.

BigMac said:Can a DS be thrown out of the race too? Because whoever was in charge of that team car is as much if not a bigger culprit than Nibali.
What's so bad or ridiculous about people asking for the rules to be enforced no matter how big the fish?Billie said:Half the posters in this thread asking for a DQ is such a ridiculous claim i feel the need to 'spam'![]()

Nonsense, it deserves at least the 2 minutes Porte got at the Giro.
I just finished watching the stage and I don't see much of what you see. All because is the second day and legs are cold. Especially for those riders that rode the Tour hard and have not raced in between.Zinoviev Letter said:hfer07 said:Angliru said:First mtf is too early to make any real determination on the contenders form.

Indeed. All that none sense whether Nairito was strong or weak, whether the Alien & SKY are up to the task, whether Valpiti & Purito aren't at their best ........ just rubbish![]()
a 4K bump on stage 2 can't determine anything at all - it was a "warm up"
A few seconds either way on a finish like this, which is all there was between most contenders, tells us very little, I agree. But for a few riders it can tell us something. Quintana getting dropped by the escape group and losing 30 seconds to them in a short period of time does tell us something. Someone like Talansky shipping three minutes tells us something. Drawing conclusions from Aru coming in five seconds ahead of Landa or Purito a few seconds ahead of Valverde on the other hand is no better than cutting open a sheep and reading the future in its entrails.

No, the rule book says:Billie said:hrotha said:What's so bad or ridiculous about people asking for the rules to be enforced no matter how big the fish?Billie said:Half the posters in this thread asking for a DQ is such a ridiculous claim i feel the need to 'spam'![]()

read the rules then. 10" for the first offence in a stage race.
page 13 of the disciplins and procedures
eliminiation only after multiple offences in the same race.
18. Rider holding on to his team's vehicle
Rider: elimination and 200.

According to the rules he should be thrown out.
I fixed that for you!Carols said:There was a huge crash. Astana man tends to Aru and gets him on his way. Nibs left standing in the road for ages before he gets a bike. He has 3 team mates to help him. He has to make up 1:30+, teammates drop off and he has to go alone on a storming ride (and holding onto a car) to catch the peloton . Then had nothing left for the finale......

FYI Talansky crashed even before the race came on tv. I've heard no report on his condition but he was off the back ~2 hours before the finish. So 3 minutes might actually be a valiant effort!
BigMac said:Update: They're planning to DQ Nibali but Astana is asking for leniency: 10 minutes penalty instead of Nibali going home.

I am sure he wanted to do that in the Fedaia a few years back!![]()
