What's going on with Talansky? There is no reason why he should have finished over 7 minutes behind Kittel today.

Maybe he crashed yday? Wouldn't be the first time.

Ambitious by Albasinit o sprint 400 metres from home - May have had a flukers chance if he delayed his sprint until 300m - Is it my imagination or is Kittel lighter?

Thats impressive, usually when it's cycling 1 about 100 predictions are right. That's why we love this sport, it's unpredictable most of the time... Demare, Sagan, Hayman and Poels.. Froome and Wiggo the TDF winners (if you told me 7 years ago I'd laugh).. :D

Quite surprised Kittel made it over the hills and was still able to finish the team effort.

Tbf it was well tried, Albasini would not stand a chance versus Kittel. He attacked around 500 meters who surprised a bit the train. That's why he thought that Alba could get it. At the end of the day a 3rd place was fine.

I have no idea if tomorrows stage is really flat or actually pretty difficult, hard to judge from the profiles. Depending on which is the case either Kittel or Gerrans ftw.

Four categorized climbs. It's too hard for Kittel. It's probably Gerrans territory, but Albasini will probably have something to say about that.

But three climbs aren't too hard  Impressive riding by Kittel, especially as Swift and Flowers got dropped  Food poisoning as a non-marginal loss or something?

Impressive climbing from Kittel, it seems that his climbing form is as erratic as Kwiat's form generally. Great speed from Bonifazio, the stage to Geneve looks easier so unless Kittel leaves the race then he is favourite for that too. Is Bonifazio doing the Giro too? Not many guys can keep so close to Marcel, albeit a tired a Marcel.

I hope there is no snow on tomorrow's climbs and they are passable. Should be a nice showdown between Quintana, Froome and other guys like Pinot, Spilak and the mighty Zaka.

You think the world's best sprinter is able to produce his best sprint after all those hills?

I'm assuming the felt their legs after LBL. Still, certainly a good ride by Kittel, he really seems to have improved his climbing skills.
