To be honest, I expect Froome and Contador to slightly undercooked right now.

I think Contador will win it by 20 sec or barely make top 5. Whatever happens, it'll be fun in here.

No clue about Froome but Porte will do good.
You are a bit Porte obbsesive these past few days :D

But yeah,he should make top5.

I made the Porte thread after all ;)

Ohh :)
I very rarely visit that dark corner of the CN forum as you would expect :D :D

Btw Im really intersted in his interteam battle with TJ ;-)

I have to notice that Froome is very silent. Also, he's chosen an early start. It can be interpreted how ever you like... around 13 cet tomorrow we'll have more clear picture.
On the other hand, Contador was more talkative and will start when favourites should start. Again, it means nothing until we see the results.
It's four weeks till the Tour and an all out 13 minute effort shouldn't affect their build up too much, if there's a concern about it at all.

Yeah, I think you may be right. Alberto may still win it though. I don't see how Pinot could win, we saw in Pais Vasco how strong he is on these gradients: not strong enough.
I think Poels has a good chance to win (and I'd hate it)

I think that whilst Contador is favourite, that this is a difficult stage to predict. I think that someone like Rohan Dennis could take it; a good time trialler and climber. And what about Kwiatkowski? He is good in short ITT's, but is this just a little too steep for him?

Porte has a chance in this stage too, and for the overall. His one week record is almost as good as anyone's, though I don't know about his form since he got sick at Romandie.

Euh Contador destroyed him in the first part of PV ITT and he's clearly not that well prepared as Contador. Got any facts?

The weather may spoil things for you.
I guess, the only good thing about that is that it would spoil Poels' chances as well.

Ryo + Colombian rider = infinite hype.
He has a point though, he should be good at it, but the duaphine is also a race which usually leaves us with a lot of question marks.

Because he won LBL in sunny conditions?

Irrelevant. In rainy conditions you will always climb a climb like today slower than in sunny weather, no matter how much of a boost rain gives you. So if the first 150 riders ride in sun, and the last few in rain, those last ones don't really stand a chance

In that case I get your point. Thanks for clearing that up. :)
Too bad for you that it would still increase Froome's chances. :D

Will be interesting today how the weather pans out for some riders, Sounds like those in the final group may get the worst of it. Unfortunately I can't watch this afternoon but at least ITV4 are showing hour long highlights tonight for us UK viewers.
