Just for the record; I hope Pinot wins Dauphiné.
Breh, you're a good man (or woman, I don't know) ;) . What a quality win that would be.

Playing the tuneup game didn't work for Nibali last year, There's too much from a psychological warfare side for either Froome or Contador to get the foot off the pedal: not with three mountain stages in the end. I don't know (I swear :p ) what FDJ has in mind: see after the opening ITT, get loose and target a stage, or go for the whole pie? But this is huge for all involved. You can't start the TdF feeling good if you got your B*tt kicked at the Dauphine.

I like the occasional underdog win. Adam, Jalabert and Geay(they doing Dauphine this year?) will be super excited aswell I suppose which makes it all the more fun to watch. Winning La Boucle might be a tough task to accomplish, but bagging the Dauphiné will really do wonders for him, especially after missing out on Tirreno this year.

He deserves a nice GC win.

I don't understand all this buzz around Contador, Froome has beated him in the Dauphine prologue in the same circumstances back in 2014.
This buzz exists because the climb is pretty similar to the one Alberto smashed the competition on in Pais Vasco. Alberto is and always has been world class in uphill and very hilly TTs.
That doesn't mean I am sure he will win, but yes, like many others I am pretty excited.

Yeah I get that because I'm a fan and I was happy to see him showing such a high level on Pais Vasco. Still I don't get the comments about being a sure thing, 30s at least...

I'll be sad with the result anyway: either he loses and I think he's not up to it or he wins and I think he has peaked too soon :D

Will Landa make it through the entire CdD is the big question.

Depends how much he wants a spot in the Tour team, followed by future GT leadership I suppose.

I wa thinking more to do with illness or whatever might be his problem this year.

I don't think he's had much of a problem with illness in the past, no more so than most other riders anyway. However if he isn't feeling great Sky would not risk him around Froome. That being said I don't see him having a problem. He will probably be extra motivated after the Giro, and still relatively fresh.

They will start minute by minute.

Froome starts early tomorrow - 12:45
Contador off third to last at 14:33
Any reason why Froome will start early? Weather?

Weather report for Les Gets says rain all day long so no idea why would he start so early...

More rain after 14.00 so he's probably hoping that it will rain harder after his ride.

Yates, Meintjes, Alaphilippe, Rolland, Gallopin, Rodriguez, Pinot, Bardet, ... starting early too so...

Is Pinot really scared that Contador will catch him or has it something to do with the possible bad weather?

Hope the latter but i doubt it since bad weather won't do much uphill anyways

According to the weather report I saw the weather will be getting worse in the afternoon and the evening. But I see that a lot of other weather reports are saying different things. We'll see tomorrow.

There are 20% ramps, so I think almost everybody would prefer dry roads.

That's true, apperently 1km at 20%.

Sucks that weather might ruiin this amazing prologue. When it's too good to be true, well you know...
