2016 Giro d'Italia - Stage 10 Campi Bisenzio - Sestola 219km

This might be an interesting stage, because something might happen on the penultimate climb, Pian del Falco. It's only 16K from there to the finish, and the final climb isn't hard. It will be worth watching, even if only someone like Pozzovivo or Chaves ignites the fire. I would like to see how the others react if Amador attacks. Would Nibali and Landa react, or would they stay behind with Valverde?

The descent of the Pian del Falco is very technical, which suits a specialist bike handler like Zaka... I mean Nibali.

I don't think that they would really care, Movistar and Amador himself have said multiple times that Valverde is the undisputed team leader, they'd probably control the gap and let him take the jersey, so Movistar would have to work a bit more on the next few stages.

A bit like stage 3 of Volta a Catalunya 2015 when Pozzovivo got and stayed away.

Breakaway win - can n't see the GC guys risking a lot. Sky need to hold it together especially until the big lumpy stages.

I hope not. For two reasons:

1- If a break wins it means the peloton has taken it slowly, and that will result in minimal gaps at the end of the stage
2- The TV coverage will suck like the stage in Arezzo. We couldn't understand why Fuglsang dropped and how Landa came back to the favorites. Plus the majority wants to see the favorites race to the finish (I guess) instead of Moser, Venter and deMarchi slowly crossing the line 3rd 4th and 5th.

Hopefully Chaves, Pozzovivo, Zakarin and Uran can form an alliance and work together. It'll make for an interesting Giro if a group like this gains 45sec or so on the favourites.

Expect some GC shake-up.

Brambilla,Jungels,Tom D. will lose much time. Not sure about Fulgsang, Uran and Majka. Zaka will go berserk and get top10.

GC prediction after this stage:
1. Krujswijk
2. Amador +20"
3. Nibali +25"
4. Valverde +30"
5. Landa +55"
6. Zakarin +2"00"
7. Pozzovivo +2'20"
8. Majka +2'30"
9.Chavez +3'00"
10. Fulgsang +4'00"

Landa distanced by 3 mins on the first climb. Must be illness.

Happy to see Katusha boot Tsatevich out of the race.

I suspect there might be more to this .....
Imaginary conversation over the Katusha radio between Tsatevich and his DS following in the car.

DS : Hey, Alexey, you stupid c***, the cameras have been on you for three minutes now. You've become a f****** embarrassment. Just let go Ludvigsson's wheel.

AS: (Silence)

DS: Alexey, you f****** weasel, Stop drafting now. You're gaining nothing and you are making us look bad.

AS: (Silence) followed by F*** you, f****** hypocrite.

DS: We'll see. Who pays your wages at the end of the day, you f***wit.

Disclaimer : The above is all pure speculation.

Wtf Landa cracked  I don't think he's ill because of this: "Danish TV reporter Rasmus Staghoj says that he spoke to Landa ahead of today's stage and the Team Sky rider said he was looking to attack." ->Cycling News.com

Twitter reports suggesting Landa is 6 minutes behind the peloton.

Well looks like it's over for Landa. Or he wants to show dominance and give them a gap of 10 minutes and then close it and drop everyone...

Tbh I don't really care about Landa dropping out of GC. I don't feel much for him and moving to Sky probably didn't help, allthough I'm no Sky hater(i dont hate anyways).
Just like Etixx I don't feel much love for them. On the contrary during the cobbles, where I like both teams :D
