Attrition is one way to sum up today's racing. What a stage after all. Didn't expect Movistar to get rekt like they did, and didn't expect Nibali to get dropped by Kruijswijk. Didnt expect him to be a better GC hope than Dumoulin, but in fairness he has proved himself before to be a relatively consistent GC rider.

what a stage!!! chaves and kruswijk, I hope either one of these youngster will win the Giro. Enough about Nibali vs Valverve. This is the best stage.. Watching the collapse of valverde and movistar... and shark got snuffed by the youngster.

Yeah, pretty good day for him really. He's got a nice gap on Valverde and Zakarin now. And within easy striking distance of the MR, without having to waste energy defending it yet.

Extremely entertaining. I could not have hoped for more, Kruijswijk, Chaves and Atapuma are among my favourite riders.

Kruijswijk and Chaves have just stepped up to be genuine GT contenders, Nibali will still be dangerous, but a new GT winner is looking to be favourite.
