Can't believe how much people can whine here. Some posters keep complaining no matter what. Rider X attacks and ride away? Dumb, has no tactical sense at all, not riding smart, losing energy. Rider X attacks but get caught. Stupid, why attacking when you're so weak. Why even bother trying? Rider X measure his effort over 3 weeks and waits? Idiot, wheelsucker, coward, Zubeldia.
Big gaps in GC? Boring race, no excitement. Small gaps in GC? Well, everyone seems to be on pair, no huge attacks. Boring.
Still 100 kms to the finish? Yeah, let's bash on guys who are 30 seconds down on GC they still didn't attack or at least have their teammates putting hammer down at this point.

Can't we just lower our expectations and enjoy this lovely sport whatever happens? Not every day is Roubaix '16...

Amen!

It's a completely normal GT. I think a lot of people have very selective memory of past races.

What was bad about Zonc 2011?
Everything?
Or did you mean what was good about it? I should think and see if I can recall anything positive.

The cancellation of Crostis.
Yeah that's pretty much the only wrong thing with that stage but it's understandable given Weylandt's death.
Anyway, it's insane too hope for a long range move on a Zoncolan stage.

Dolomites are the most beautiful mountains in Europe imo. Hopefully I will visit again soon.
Whole South Tyrol must be sheer earthporn. Especially the Dolomites! <3
I could be wrong, but isnt the majority of the Dolomites outside of South Tyrol?

The people complaining about those different things don't really overlap.

Does anyone see Hesjedal in the peloton? it's strange. There's only Zoidl for Trek with the GC group.
He could be riding with his spare bike without Transponder

Abandon Hesjedal

Yeah, most of them are in Trentino proper.

And I was expecting of him to animate the race in the Alps...

There are more people complaining about other people complaining it seems.

That would be even funny, if only true :p

Does anyone know how much time Ulissi is losing now to Plaza?

Amador doesn't look comfortable even with this pace.
He could hold on to the jersey, though, but every other rider at the front looks better than him.

Yeah. Kronplatz, Furkelsattel, Würzjoch, Seiser Alm, Nigerpass, etc. & Reiterjoch are (partly) South Tyrol though!?

One day I need to conquer South Tyrol & the Dolomites! :) *dream* It's both just so incredibly gorgeous!

Yeah, most of them are in Trentino proper.

Only major Giro climbs in South Tyrol I can think of are Kronplatz, Gardena, Alpe di Siusi. Sella and Tre Cime are on the border.
And Stelvio but that is not the Dolomites

Who's virtual pink at the mo?

Incredible how little percentage of actual live coverage the RAI have shown over the last 20 mins
