Wonder if this is a one time thing because of the rest day, or if Chaves is fading in the last week like he did at the Vuelta

But he rode his best stage in the third week of that Vuelta, on the penultimate day.

Eurosport is such a great way to watch all the latest ads, live. I don't know why they bother with the cycling nonsense.

They're contracted to a certain number of ads during the stage. Because the stage is going by so fast they're having to push them along quite close to each other. Plus they want to get them all done before the last climb starts

Nibali/Valverde should attack on the flat right now if they want to win the Giro. Kruijswijk isolated, this is exactly the same situation as Contador's fuente de attack (with the exception that AC had teammates up the road, but I don't think Nibs/Valv are gonna crack SK uphill)

How about time cuts today, guys?

Category C today, so very unforgiving for such a hard stage. Don't know the exact number of minutes yet, it'll depend on the speed on the final climbs

I don't see how they must achieve this, it's downhill and they're riding full speed...

Yeah. For some reason there's no raw feed available today to switch to. It's great, no commentary, no ads, lots of ambient sounds. I dream of the day we get proper cycling coverage.

Dombrowski called back to help save ill Uran's twelfth place...

He wasn't called back, he didn't pay attention and got dropped like a stone on the false flat down

Before the stage Claudio Corti said Chaves weak spot is responding to constant accelerations in very fast stages.
Don't know if it's true but I believe he was his DS.

Chaves is also ahead of them in the GC, remember. Can't waste this chance to distance Chaves in the hopes that they'll succeed in distancing Kruijswijk.

You're right. They're currently riding for the second and third place, with Kruijswijk in their wheel.

I would argue his best stage was the stage he won.
