Lampre had Modolo in a great position coming into the last corner but then the crash happened. He also didn't have the legs in the end...

Kittel was laughable today though. Im starting to think hes an even worse climber than Ivan Quaranta.

I underestimated Greipel big time. Thought he was gonna mess up when he got no teammates left, but damn he was strong. Impressive!

Yeah, was never close. Impressive display of power. BTW, thought that Ewan was positioned great (think he was the one on Greipels wheel but watching on a small screen in horrible quality so might be wrong) when the sprint started. Nowhere close at the finish though

Valverde gains 4s apparently.

Or maybe not. It was because the crash so maybe the riders behind will be given s.t.

Ewan did pretty good, it was an over 230km long gt stage.

Who was the Katusha rider that crashed? On Rai they are saying Taaramae, but I'm not sure what was he doing at the front in a bunch sprint. So was it Taaramae or Porsev?

****

I *** hate it when riders go to the Giro with the intention of not finishing it and then get rewarded for it. Had hoped someone else would win once Kittel was dropped

Nibs and landa lost 4s
Maybe they lost some ground because of the crash, it wouldn't surprise me if they end up getting the same time as the others.
They finished close up but there was a gap that was borderline a second and Roche (?) realized too late

Nobody crying over Greipel winning, hmhmhm

Totally man. Everyone's bias against the Germans is really showing. Good to see André give the French a win though!

I would have been impressed by anyone's win here. It took real skills to navigate the circuit, and real power to finish off the sprint. Had Kittel beens strong enough to contest and win, he would have shown a more diverse skill set. But he didn't, so he's still the same rider everyone thought he was.

C'mon - that's crazy, crazy talk. Quaranta could get dropped on an overpass.

Watching the overhead Ewan had to sprint a few times and was checked a couple of times as well, without that final check he would of finished closer but not close enough for a top 3 but still a good ride by the kid

Uphill sprint on a bumpy road so it wasn't a normal sprint but yeah he kicked pretty well
