The only sure thing about this stage is Cunego/Pirazzi battling for KOM points on the first climb.

Maybe Wellens will be in the mix too, he's only one point behind Cunego so if he wants to wear the blue jersey after tomorrows stage...

He said he was more interested in trying to win another stage then go for KOM points.

Another stage win is his main goal, but I think he wants the blue jersey too. He just proved it by getting the remaining KOM points (he overtook Cunego in the last couple of meters apparently).

Tim Wellens: Of all the favorites, id like the most to see Dumoulin win. And if we can do something to help in return after yesterday, we won hesitate to do so.

Will he now get awkward looks from Monfort in the team bus?
Because Monfort thinks of himself as a GC contender ? :D

It's not for the lack of trying. Someone has to pick up the legacy after Francis De Greef :D

A bit early to say but will a contender today lose the Giro? Don't know who is behind, but there is a big group more than two minutes behind the first group, including Dumoulin.

EDIT:

Daniel Lloyd @daniellloyd1
Front group of 55, inc all the main favourites, now have 2m19s over the rest. 45km covered. 38.2kph avg speed. #Giro
