I can see it now. Wellins has multiple minutes in hand at the bottom of Arcalis at this years first MTF at the Tour, and just holds on to win. Meanwhile, the Dawg puts his GC rivals to the sword, AX3/PSM style, putting himself in command of the yellow jersey. On the forum Froome's performance is largely ignored whereas much plaudits are given for the breakaway victory. Serious Sam struggles to bite his tongue....
It shall be like Lance on Hautacam 2000.
SS, do you also subscribe to Lance's phrase; "No gifts"?![]()

He only said: If I didn't have the jersey, I might have taken todays stage really easy because of the TT. But that's not the case right now.

Incredible how (social) media can bend words. I hate it.

Sad acts.
I hope they nail the culprits.

Complete idiot to do that. Why would someone want to deliberately harm riders and their chances is beyond me.
Does anyone know what the weathers supposed to do by the time they arrive at the climb? Today could see a shake up for me. TD will stamp down his challenge this weekend his odds will drop fast.

He has lost time on all the stages in Italy so farThe Barb said:I'm probably stupid for ever picking this guy, but I have a feeling Jose Joaquin Rojas (at 200-1) could go well. He's climbing well enough, the short uphill finish suits him, and Movistar will likely want to send someone in the break for the benefit of the team competition.
Maxim Belkov at 125-1 is not crazy either. He can fly down a tricky descent like this.
Of the "shorter" priced riders, De Marchi at 25-1 appeals the most. Dropping time yesterday like he did seems a pretty good sign he'll look for the breakaway today.
EDIT: JJ Rojas
Rojas not targetting stage wins in this Giro. He is Movistar road captain. Stays with Valverde as far as is possible.
Ahhh, excellent information. Thanks indeed.

My $45 on Rojas at 200-1 looking rather good now.
God I love cycling.
