Utah is great this year. As always

Agreed. But this year it is looking especially good. Lots of attacks, peloton getting torn apart at the very start of climbs...

It's the best Utah i can remember. Every stage had good elements.

Empire Pass is such a monster climb
Climbing all the way up to Guardsman Pass from Midway would be even harder, but the classic Park City stage is always great to watch.
About Talansky, yeah, he used to be a diesel with great recovery and a good sprint (for a gc rider), no idea what happened to him, maybe he's mostly using this race to prepar for the Vuelta like Horner back in the day and isn't peaking right now.

Talansky was just totally cooked, wow!
I'm really happy for Morton, he seems to be a great guy.
Utah has always been the best of the big American stage races, but this year it was just on another level, one hell of a race!

The big difference however is that Horner was really one of the best climbers in the world, surely top-10, when he was on and without injuries.

Talansky. Well .... not.

There is some similarity. In 2013 Horner won the stage to Snowbird and then Danielson dropped him by 90 seconds on the Empire pass the next day.

Edit: and speaking of Horner, looks like father time has finally caught up with him

Wow, Manuel Senni is showing signs of life, he finished 7th on the stage and I think that managed to finish in the top 10 on gc.

That certainly has to be a mistake. Atapuma was about 1:20 behind Talansky before today stage and today he gained a minute on him.

Haha, Costa doesn't get beer. Funny detail.

He's just 18 afterall. :)

They actually gave him a bottle of High West at first, but it seems that someone got wise to it and took the bottle away while Atapuma was being awarded.
