I have to say, for all my criticism of G becoming a 3rd rate GC rider, he defended his lead very well today. Very strong in the descent and the flat to barely salvage his win. Don't think he would've pulled this win off with Mt. Brouilly or without Henao, but a strong ride nevertheless.

We cannot complain about the excitement, only the result. This was a great stage.
We all know who the best rider was, and that is what really matters

Are they a track specialist?

why the hell one should complain about the result or thomas doesn't deserve it, ah?
Let's just say it had been more interesting to see Thomas without his teammate ;)

It wouldn't be more interesting at all. Thomas would finish 5 minutes down.

Was surprised to see Thomas fight his way back after Èze. Very well deserved win. Will be interesting if he can perform in the classics with his climbing legs...

heck, be more lenient. ;) bertie won million of suchlike races while for thomas it's probably a climax of the entire road cycling career.

It wouldn't have been interesting at all, it would have been an easy win for someone else.

Wellens wins stage and Gallopin saves his GC. Great ride by Lotto and Gallopin.

Exactly! And who won the sprint from the chase group? Gallopin of course. By chasing with Thomas they had two cards for the stage win and he goes up in GC too.

People moaning just because they don't want anyone helping Thomas. As if Gallopin cares who wins yellow.

Makes you wonder what if Contador waited to unload everything on eze. But i think he did the right approach, he cracked thomas. Did everything he could.

Kudo to porte for riding along, don't think he would have done it.
