vmt. If it was just Quintana and Movistar chasing it would have been a great move. But against a peloton full of sprint trains, I'm not sure whether it has been worth it to gain a handful of seconds, if that.CheckMyPecs said:It's a lot of energy to waste on the day before the Ventoux.

Not for those of us watching.
He is not alone there, you know, among other there is certain Mr. Froome. And they are working together of course.Moose McKnuckles said:Entire peloton trying to catch Sagan.

His power is immense
I doubt that his climbing is at the same level as in 2013.
So he's been stronger than he's ever been in the Tour in every way, and in the mountains he's not even been close to cracking, and the only real mountain stage there's been was such horrendous weather that he wasn't able to show what he could do.
What is it about that which makes people think he's not as good as he was in the past?
I'm not saying I'm sure he's better, or as good, because we haven't seen him tested yet, that will happen tomorrow. But there's zero indication he's not on the best form of his life.

What the **** is katusha doing in this race?

Honestly this time I'm not so sure it's tactical awareness. Quintana is not even close to the top 20 or so on the flat, and he might struggle to be top 100 on a course like this. The simple fact is, on a day like today Quintana isn't strong enough to stay with Froome.
That being said his team is disappointing, they brought a couple of specialists for the flat work, and they're nowhere to be seen. Not to mention Valverde should be able to be there right now.
It's not like he tried but couldn't follow, he wasn't even in a position to try.
