There aren't many real fans. Most people who go to sports events just want to have a good time there, take a few selfies, perhaps get on TV.

At the inaugural TDY on the East Chevin a group were having a BBQ in a house on the route. They came out when the crowd started growing. All pi$$ed up asking what was going on. We told them, by the time the race came up there was c15 of them plastered and all over the road.

I've just returned from a 5 hour ride nearby and the wind is horrendous and has been since Tuesday. Not got access to a TV has anyone got current placing for today's stage? The small guys will suffer today for sure.
