Wrist and elbow injury for Dumoulin, absolutely terrible luck.

I hope he goes to Rio still. He's clearly the strongest TT'er ATM. Is Froome going though? If Major Tom is out then it could easily be his as well.

Rowe and Valgren in conversation.
Wow

Sorry, that probably seems like a random thing to say, but after he was rumoured to be joining Sky next year, every time the camera goes to Valgren he seems to be joking around with a Sky rider.

It's one of Froome's major objectives, and part of the reason why he planned to peak later this Tour than usual.

Nice to see Astana attacking after a mechanical once again. It's hard to ever to root for an Astana rider.

They've been doing pace for last 70-80km I think.

Exactly. The race doesn't shouldn't stop everytime someone stubs their toe.

The race had stopped. Astana was coasting. The gap was over 4 mins. Once Yates had the mechanical they upped the pace and halved the gap to 2 mins in just a few kms.

I'm sorry Major Tom is injured but why was he still in the Tour? I guess because Wiggins and Cancellara both finished the Tour before winning Gold.

Rai just said they were told that "Quintana has had allergy problems since 3-4 days before the start of the Tour, but today he'll be OK because it' likely that it will rain so dust and pollen will be reduced"
...uh?

Pride? Professionalism? Integrity?

Not sure which, but I'm guessing abandoning didn't really occur to him.

Real shame though, hopefully it's nothing serious. A broken wrist could really throw a wrench into his Rio plans.
