Lol, commentators so bad they thought time gap was 1 minute until he got caught

I thought so too. The tv never indicated at all where Cavendish is, until just moments before Stuyvens was caught.

45 seconds. That's a gap, but he's not out of contention.

Happy for Peter, but too bad the crashes has now cost Alberto almost a minute :/

Also gutted for Jasper - that was soooo close . .

What a dramatic finish! poor Stuyven. Sagan beating the two Balas. Game over for Alberto...

Alaphilippe comfortably outsprinting Valverde. Has the baton passed?

One has done the classics and the Giro, the other has not.
It's unbelievable that Valverde managed a top 3.

Dunno what your'e watching, but Cavendish was clearly dropped a while before. Furthermore, why on earth would you believe that the time suddenly went up significantly to the speeding peleton up hill?

Sure, I'm not having a go at Valverde, but Alaphilippe's sprinting is on a different level now I think. Stage wasn't hard enough for Bala - Sagan was still too fresh.

Now's the time for Alberto to either abandon and go to the Vuelta instead, or say in an interview that he wants his whole team to support Peter 100%
