GVA way to go! You have to love a guy who rides like this :).

Nibali for the stage win, unless he is required to wait for Aru.

I don't see Nibali waiting. He's too much of a winner to do that.

Geez I hope he doesn't!

GvA to Pereiro everyone up to the Ventoux stage. He could end up 7 or something minutes up by the end of today hah.

Doubt he'll wait, if Aru can't stay with Sky and Movistar on the first climb in the Tour he ain't going to do well. He'll go just before the summit from the front group if he's there and try and keep a gap.

If they give a break like 10-12 min. it is going to be carnage from Movistar in the last ascent. I just hope Contador can survive this.

Is there a chance GVA will still have the yellow jersey after the pyrenees? Will probably depend on the stage today but if the next two stages are ridden very slowly, and he gets another few minutes today I think it might be possible.

So Tinkoff should have had someone i the break today but not two days ago? Who should it have been and what use would it be? It is not like the onus will be on Tinkoff to chase the break in any case.

Smart work by BMC - send GVA in the break and the team doesn't have to work to defend Yellow.

And Sky does have to work.

It's a win/win. Either GvA builds up an even bigger lead, or Tejay and Richie get to deal with a weakened Sky.

Does anyone know if Betfair lets you bet on several different riders for the same stage win? If so, I'm totally creating an account and putting a pound apiece on Nibali, GvA and Vuillermoz.

Plenty of domestiques in the breakaway.
Teams are taking this stage seriously. Don't want to drop out of the race early.

What are Navarro's odds?

Sky desperately wants some control in this stage. I smell carnage!
I smell Tinkoff being losers of the day again.

how is it that sagan didn't manage to bridge to the break?
He tried to bridge with EBH, who didn't cooperate of course.

like that's something new for him.

Why would he help Cav's green jersey rival to get into the break so that his teammate loses it?

Tinkoff riders' absence from the break means Contador isn't the strongest rider in the team, at the moment.

I don't see why they wouldn't, because they're just an exchange - essentially if you put a pound on Nibali to win they're just matching you up with one or more people who have put a pound on him not winning, and taking a small cut for themselves.
