Sadly Sagan (if he races the Vuelta) will already have one GT in his legs. It could have been a nice three-way race.

If he wants to stay, sure, but looking at him last days he should quit. He's only wasting the rest of his season because of putting his body on way to much of pain and no time to recover.

In 2006, Pereiro finished the Pyrenees sick and many minutes behind on GC. Should he have gone home?

I think the problem isn't that he's sick.

At least one of them will probably ride it but it should be a cakewalk for a fresh Bertie unless he's completely shot given everyone else will have at least one brutal GT in their legs
