Maybe. It's more likely they lose a few seconds in a stage that really doesn't suit Nairo.

The only reason I can figure is that they're doing this is that they rather lose a few seconds here but give Quintana a better shot of catching a slightly more tired Froome on the descent to Lac de Payolle.

Kreuziger is at the front of the group.

He had a problem with his chain I think. Not a mechanical.
