Poor Tejay. He knows that no matter what he does, he cannot surpass the exploits of the mighty lil Richie over at the Dauphine. I think he will slip into a support role quite naturally at the Tour, though.

Jesus Christ, I hadn't thought about that. A team led by Richie Porte and Tejay van Garderen racing up Arcalis. Possibly the least inspiring hydra-head ever. A DS committee of Jacky Durand, Alexander Vinokourov and the ghost of Frank Vandenbroucke couldn't wring an interesting race out of that.

There has to be a change of weather. Gorka 1st, Latour top10, Lopez top15. They all started one after another.

Stupid Cancellara. Further proof there is no justice in the world.
Fantastic Fabian. Further proof there is justice in the world
Justice or no justice, Cancellara would have won pretty comfortably if there was no rain for the last 10 riders. I think the rain played a part also for the earlier starters, but I'm not sure.

I didn't see the stage.

Was it just a case of being an early starter, in the rain? It sounds like plenty other riders also got rained on.

Or was it more like it rained for everybody, but he packed it in from the start?

I was referring to the run of bad luck during April/May, and that this was the revenge :)
Also I did not watch much else of the TT except Fabian's (and Spilak's) ride since I had other things to do. Were the conditions very uneven throughout the TT?

Acceptable time for Lopez. Looks like his form is growing, as he was already having a good race in d'Argovie earlier in the week. It's his moment to shine, since he still has to secure that Vuelta spot and Österreich and Burgos are right around the corner.

I've almost forgotten TdS has started...Must be related to the thread not been pinned. What are these new mods doing, I'm wondering...
It was a close call between Cancellara, Roelandts and Durbridge, it seems.Good ride by Roelandts.
