Mathias Frank won't start todays stage.
good, pantano is much better and should be designated leader in the tour as well, eventhough he isn't swiss

Mathias deserved to be leader here (and so does at the Tour). He's shown much more GC potential than Pantano.

I would much rather watch Pantano hunt a few stages than getting Frank's useless role of riding as anonymously as you can to top-10.

A 15-man group with Grégory Rast (TFS), Philipe Gilbert (BMC), Kristijan Koren (CPT), Pim Ligthart (LTS), Tosh Van der Sande (LTS), Iljo Keisse (EQS), Ariel Maximiliano Richeze (EQS), Kévin Reza (FDJ), Martin Elmiger (IAM), Jasha Sütterlin (MOV), Maciej Patkersi (CCC), Nico Brüngger (ROT), Pietr Weening (ROP), Antwan Tolhoek (ROP), Jordi Simon (VAT) holds a 2:40 gap over the peloton.

No really good climbers in the breakaway.

Looks like a semi classics break lol

There won't be much support of leader in IAM at the Tour because the team is disbanding and everyone is struggling to get new teams. So individual performances will be evaluated more. Team work is very important if you are going to be contending for the Tour podium. But I don't think is the case here.

Frank played a big part in the 2014 Tour de Suisse, and he was also in the lead until the final MTT in 2013.

They're not mutually exclusive. Frank should lead and Pantano can have a free role to hunt whatever stages he likes. Doesn't matter now that Mathias abandoned, just responding to the comment about Pantano deserving lead.

Gotta concede that those naysayers who said this parcours would lead to a bore have been absolutely right. Like yesterday there will be no action amongst the GC guys until the final couple of kilometres because everyone is thinking about tomorrow (which will probably be a long grind without "attacks").

Surely they could have found a way to have less distance between the last two climbs.

Pictures any time now normally.

Nice weather there... I suppose some of the riders are regretting they didn't choose Dauphine.
