Kruijswijk, Nibali, Dumoulin, Zakarin, Pozzo all in the first group for sure

Anyone missing?

Quintana, Pinot and Thomas as well.
Landa missed the split.

Thx

Too bad about Mikel :( But it means he has to go full *** on Etna now! :)

Well, 3rd place was a good result anyway. Too bad Giacomo lost 2nd because of Richeze's douche move, but I guess that's just standard Quickstep. Greipel was massively unlucky aswell, but without losing the pedals, Quickstep would also have tried to ride against him, like they rode against Giacomo, and so it was always going to be Gavirias race to lose.

Amazing QS teamwork, but most of all, amazing Bob Jungels. Biggest engine in cycling.

Gaviria <3. Brian Holm said he has been a bit sick up to the Giro, thats why he DNF Frankfurt, stomach problems. Feels better now.

Nizzolo is super on the flat despite everything, but everytime he hits a molehill he struggles.

Sour grapes. Nizzolo had absolutely nothing on Gaviria and even Selig in that sprint, he was spent. I think that was pretty obvious!

How much is Landa's loss?

Zero, he was in the chasing group.
But everyone wrote that he wasn't in the same group as Quintana, Nibali, Zaka, Pinot, Thomas etc.

No, one person wrote it and everyone just went with it.

Official website is showing he was ST as Quintana, G, Nibali etc

I'll be interested in hearing what Nizzolo has to say about that sprint. I doubt if he's going to be very happy about Richeze swerving to stop him from taking Gaviria's wheel

Good to hear that he hasn't lost the leadership to Thomas yet. Thanks a lot!

If you count Rohan Dennis as a (sort of) GC rider: i think he was the BMC-guy who crashed due to the wind.

Kangert, Grosschartner, Rolland and Foli caught out. Kangert didn't lose that much time tho.

Surprisingly, all of the bigger GC-rider avoided timeless. Impressive I must say.

EDIT: Rohan Dennis lost +5 minutes. Game over.

Sorry guys for the wrong information..
Adam Yates was there too. Besides Kangert and Dennis no one from GC contenders lost any time.

Great last dozen km. Jungels was a beast. Greipel also. Shame about the mechanical and that G just missed out on all the fun. The Gorilla would have given Gaviria a run for his money.

Of course, this was the first stage I didn't pick Gaviria.

It will be interesting to see if anyone of note missed out today.

Edit: It seems that only Kangert. For me it's good that Rolland missed out, the mountain jersey beckons.

If Greipel was there, they would play the numbers card, Gaviria would hardly beat Greipel, with or without Richeze's help.
